Old Ladies coach, Max Allegri is said to be a keen admirer, and is preparing a bid for the Torino midfielder.

Acquah joined Torino on a permanent deal from German club Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015, and has quickly established himself as a cog in the midfield of the side.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a fruitful 2016/17 season, making a total of 20 Serie A appearances and scoring two goals in the process.

Meanwhile, a report by Ghanasoccernet suggests that Newcastle United also hold an interest in the Black Stars player.

The Magpies are on the market for a replacement for Cheick Tiote, who has moved to the Chinese Super League.

With the club trying to bolster their squad ahead of a return to the English topflight, Magpies boss Rafael Benitez is believed to have identified Acquah as a competent replacement for the departed Ivorian.

The Ghanaian has made known his intentions of wanting to one day play in the English Premier League, however, it remains to be seen which club will win his signature.
