Szandra, Ghana's first female judoka to compete at the Olympic Games is one of the 16 athletes representing Ghana at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil.

The 27-year-old first competed for Ghana five years ago and her qualification for the Olympic Games was secured in Kazakhstan in May.
Kaya Forson was the first Ghanaian athlete to participate at the ongoing Olympic Games in Rio.
The 14-year-old beat her personal best time record but was eliminated from the women’s 200m freestyle swimming.
The next Ghanaian athlete to participate at Rio 2016 is Abeku Gyekye Jackson who will be in the Men’s 50m freestyle swimming.

Abdul Omar will also take on Argentine Alberto Ezequiel Melian in the Men’s bantam 56kg boxing on Thursday.
