The former Amidaus  attacker and Latif Blessing who were separated by just a goal faced off on match day 10 in a game Liberty professionals suffered a 2-3 home defeat against Aduana Stars at Dansoman. The two attackers proved their worth by scoring for their respective clubs to take their goal tallies to 7 and 8 respectively.

Yahaya Mohammed after an incredible goal scoring feat in consecutive matches went on goal drought for three successive league games, failing to score against New Edubiase in a game his side stunned the hosts at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on match day 12 and again couldn’t find the back of the net on match day 13 in a 1-1 draw at home against Hearts of Oak. The last of the 3 was a 1-2 defeat Aduana Stars suffered in the hands of Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast on match day 14.

However, Yahaya Mohammed woke up from his slumber by responding on the last day of the first round of the 2016 Ghana Premier League, when he scored a brace in Aduana Stars 4-2 win over Brong Ahafo neighbours, Bechem United at Dormaa to stretch his goal tally to 11, hence finished the first half as the leading top scorer of the season.

The Aduana Stars striker after failing to register his name on the scoresheet on match day 16, bounced back with a goal against Dwarfs in a game that ended 3-0.

The former Asante Kotoko striker, who was on 13 points with Latif Blessing as the joint top scorers in the league made a strong case for himself by scoring the lone goal for his side against Berekum Chelsea in the Brong Ahafo derby on Saturday to Surpass the Liberty Professionals marksman, who didn’t have a part to play in his side’s defeat to Kotoko over the weekend.
