According to reports, Susan McNabb left her wallet containing $160 cash at the Walmart store in Clinton, but upon her return in a short while, she found the wallet without the cash.

Displeased with the development, the banker said she "then went down to the city police and reported" the matter.

On Wednesday morning, Susan McNabb said she received a call from the police who notified her that an unidentified woman had dropped an envelope containing the $160 banknotes.

She was surprised at the unusual development, but what shocked her most was the touching letter of apology the remorseful thief had attached to the money in the envelope.

The letter reads: "To the lady that left her wallet at Walmart...please forgive me as I always strive to have integrity, and that day I failed miserably."

Obviously, Susan was happy to have gotten back her hard earned money, but she said the thief’s unusual change-of-heart has touched her so much that she has decided to spend the missing but found money on others.
