A Facebook user from Nigeria’s Edo state, Jefferson posted disturbing photos of the brutalised youngster online and social media users have been left dumbfounded.

The gravity of injuries a stepmother inflicted on a little boy and fled for fear of being either lynched or arrested by the police is unimaginable.

It is not clear what offence the little boy had committed to have suffered such a cruel treatment from a heartless woman who is supposed to be his guardian.
