Black Stars goalkeeper sustains injury in MLS game for Portland Timbers

The Ghanaian goalkeeper had to be replaced five minutes after the first half break by substitute goalkeeper Jacob Gleeson.

Portland Timbers however struggled to better their performances in recent weeks earning a hard fought home victory against San Jose Earthquakes.

Jack McInerney opened the scoring for Portland Timbers two minutes after Kwarasey’s injury that brought his time in the game to an end.

Fanendo Adi doubled the lead for Timbers with Chris Wondolowski pulling one back for San Jose Earthquakes in the closing minutes of the game.

Fenendo Adi however grabbed his second to win the game for Portland Timbers by three goals to one.
