After struggling for much of the game, Mikel Arteta’s side went into the half-time break a goal down following Cole Palmer’s well-taken penalty.

Chelsea doubled their lead right after the restart when Mykhailo Mudryk’s attempted cross caught goalkeeper David Raya off guard and flew into the net.

However, Arsenal rallied their way back into the game, with Declan Rice taking advantage of Robert Sanchez’s blunder to halve the deficit before substitute Leandro Trossard completed the comeback late in the game.
