Ghanaian confirms fitness and hits out at 'cheap news'

The Panathinaikos player struggled with injuries in his early days at the Greek club but has since recovered and featured in games.

Michael Essien has however not played in recent games for Panithinaikos with his last appearance for the Greek club coming against Olympiakos Piraeus on March 13, 2016.

The Ghana international posted about his fitness on his Instagram on Tuesday saying:

“When they cannot break you,then they start telling lies about you.Im very well and fit… CheapNews. Jah bless still”

Michael Essien during his club football career has played for Bastia, Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and now Panathinaikos.
