Pep Guardiola donates 1 million euros to support fight against Coronavirus

Spain is the third on the list of countries who have been hit hard by the Coronavirus epidemic with over 2,000 having already died of the pandemic.

Pep Guardiola who is a Spanish national has on Tuesday donated to the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation for the acquisition and supply of medical equipment amidst the pandemic emergency.

The money will be spent to buy protection material such as such as masks, glasses, gloves, disinfectants and respirators, all of which will be distributed to various medical centres in Catalonia.

The campaign, promoted by the Col·legi de Metges de Barcelona (COMB), has raised another 33,000 euros so far.

In addition to the purchase of material, they will also finance the production of artificial respirators and other necessities through 3D printing.
