Manu Tuilagi is set to make his long-awaited England return after being retained in Eddie Jones' matchday squad for Saturday's crunch Six Nations clash with Wales.
Powerhouse centre Tuilagi has not played international rugby since June 2014, but has been building up his fitness after a returning from a groin injury that left him sidelined for 15 months.
Tuilagi, a scorer in Leicester Tigers' 31-27 victory over Exeter Chiefs at the weekend, was called into the training squad on February 29 and has been kept on to face Warren Gatland's men.
The 24-year-old could prove a key weapon for an England side looking to make it four wins from four under head coach Jones, with the winner of the contest at Twickenham likely to win the Six Nations.
Joe Launchbury returns having missed the win over Ireland last time out with a hamstring injury, with fellow lock Maro Itoje keeping his place in a 24-man squad.
The squad will be trimmed by one with Chiefs' hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie retained for the time being as cover for Jamie George, who has an arm injury injury and will have further medical assessments.
