Mo Farah was in imperious form as he clinched victory in the men's 10,000 metres at the IAAF Diamond League meet in Eugene.

The British two-time Olympic gold medallist battled to his win ahead of Kenya's William Malel Sitonik and Ethiopian Tamirat Tola on Friday.

Farah, 33, was impressive in a warning to the rest of the field ahead of the Rio Olympics later this year.

He took out gold in the 10,000m and 5,000m in London four years ago.

The women's 5,000m was taken out by Hellen Obiri, who clinched her win from Viola Jelagat Kibiwot by over three seconds.

Kenyan Genzebe Dibaba was a notable absentee after a toe injury ruled her out in the lead up.

Sandra Perkovic was victorious in the women's discus and American Brittney Reese claimed the long jump.

Joe Kovacs was successful in the men's shot put and Poland's Pawel Fajdek clinched the hammer throw.
