Tashkent Open: Nao Hibino to face Denisa Allertova

Tashkent Open champion Nao Hibino will face ninth seed Denisa Allertova in the semi-finals after the Japanese benefited from Lesia Tsurenko's retirement.

Hibino's only WTA Tour title to date came at this event last year and the fourth seed continued her good form in Uzbekistan, having won the first set 7-6 (8-6) before her Ukrainian opponent withdrew.

Allertova was a 7-5 6-4 winner over second seed Kirsten Flipkens, while Kateryna Kozlova beat Stefanie Vogele 6-3 6-3, and Kristyna Pliskova overcame Irina Khromacheva 6-3 6-4.
