Government declares Friday July 31 2020 as public holiday

The government through the Interior Ministry has officially declared Friday, July 31, as a statutory public holiday.

This is to mark the celebration of Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to follow Allah's (God's) command to sacrifice his son. 

Muslims around the world observe this event.

The letter signed by Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery reads;
