The show first premiered on August 30, 2018, gaining traction and legions of fans for its action-packed storyline. Now, after more than a year of waiting for the stories part two, fans of the show can start streaming. And the storyline this time around is just as thrilling.

After tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan, portrayed by Krasinski, heads down to South America to investigate, a press release teaser reads. As Jacks investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the Presidents nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos.

Prior to season ones release, he was drawn to the characters unusual story arc that has a unique relatability. After all, Jack Ryan isnt an untouchable CIA hero, rather a regular guy thrust into a life of action, adventure, and danger after catching the trail of a major terrorist leader.

Krasinski is the fifth actor to portray Jack Ryan, with the character dating back to a 1984 Tom Clancy novel titled The Hunt For Red October. Jack Ryan was first portrayed by Alec Baldwin in the 1990 film based on the book. Harrison Ford, Ben Afflack, and Chris Pine all played Jack Ryan in films following The Hunt For Red October. Krasinskis Jack Ryan is the first time the character has been portrayed for a television series.
