Actor says it was time for 'McSteamy and McDreamy to exit 'Grey's Anatomy'

On different occasions, Shonda Rhimes has broken a heart or two by killing off their favourite character on 'Grey's Anatomy', but who can forget the tragic exit of McSteamy (Eric Dane) and McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey)?

In an interview with HuffPost Live, Dane who was killed off in 2012, said it was time for the two hot surgeons to exit show.

"It was time for us to go. You can't stay on a show forever. Nobody stays on a show forever," Said Dane.

Speaking on their tragic exit, Dane  said ; "That's 'Grey's Anatomy.' That's television. That's Shonda television."
