Singer to make directorial debut with Hallmark's Christmas movie

According to Hallmark Channel, the Grammy winner will produce a movie which will screen as part of the channel’s annual 'Countdown to Christmas' shows.

The channel made the announcement on Wednesday, July 30, 2015..

Carey will also star in the upcoming Christmas movie, which will be her 1st movie since 2013's 'The Butler.'

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recently announced that the 45-year-old singer will  on Wednesday, August 5.
