Pilot episode leaks 6 months early on torrent

The first episode of CBS's upcoming 'Supergirl' series has leaked online six months before its scheduled premiere.

The episode which leaked in HD found its way to different torrent sites late last week.

According to BitTorrent news site, TorrentFreak,  the leak is a  "complete surprise" to the pirating community.

In the upcoming superhero series, Melissa Benoist plays Kara Zor-El, who escapes the destruction on Krypton to join her cousin on Earth.

also stars  Mehcad Brooks, Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Faran Tahir, Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

Supergirl is scheduled to debut in November.
