Monitored reports suggest many people are trapped in floodwaters in their homes, while those who had been out ahead of the rains cannot return home.

People are reporting their property destroyed by the rains while road regulations have been thrown overboard as fire service personnel trying to steer people away from danger redirect drivers back to where they had come from.
