The deceased, who has been identified as Kweku Mensah reportedly committed the act following an unresolved conflict he had with his girlfriend with whom he has two children.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Kofi Nokoe, the President of the Axim Youth Alliance said that Mensah’s girlfriend had threatened to end the relationship following the misunderstanding.

But the deceased, who could not bear to lose his girlfriend, decided to end his life.

Mensah was found hanging on a tree. His body has since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital.
