Mahama throws end of year blow at Akufo-Addo on 37th anniversary of 31 December revolution
However, former president John Dramani Mahama did not think it worthy to be hypocritical.
He chose to be blunt in telling his successor, president Akufo-Addo that the state of affairs leaves much to be desired.
The obvious National Democratic Congress’ best bet has been critical of his successor for some time, but one would have thought that he would have toned down by virtue of the festive period.
Mr Mahama resorted to his Facebook page to “commend President Jerry John Rawlings, cadres of the revolution, members of the NDC and all Ghanaians” for their diverse contributions to democratic rule.
As part of the message, he called on the sitting president to “fight corruption and nepotism by investigating and prosecuting the many allegations made against his appointees”.
