Man. United's goalkeeper 'problems' as created by Louis Van Gaal
Manchester United have spent over £300 million in 18 months but they still had a selection dilemma ahead of the first game of the Premier League season.
Manchester United had three goalkeepers in attendance, all of whom are fit and available for selection – in theory at least.
They even sat together to watch the match against Tottenham at Old Trafford – giving photographers a perfect shot to encapsulate the madness of United’s current goalkeeping situation.
David De Gea, Anders Lindergaard and Victors Valdes have all had their issues with Louis Van Gaal, which led to their “axing” from the team’s starting lineup. De Gea was apparently left out as Louis van Gaal said his head was not right following interest from Real Madrid, while Anders Lindegaard isn’t rated by the Dutchman and Victor Valdes has been told he can leave after apparently refusing to play for the Under-21s.
And with the three ‘keepers all sitting in the same spot, the image was clear to most fans. And it was even cleared when they noticed Valdes wasn’t even decked out in official club kit.
