How social media reacted to Kufuor's Freemason appointment

The announcement made by the Grand Master, Prince Edward who is also the Duke of Kent took place at a brief ceremony in the UK.

This revelation shook social media to its core as rumours had been rife of the President’s involvement in the fraternity as far back as 2001.

Ghanaians over the years have associated lodges such as the freemasons to a cult-like and hemophilic organisation that helps their members to get wealth whiles killing anybody who stood in their way.  As such, Ghanaian netizens (Citizens of the internet) took to the medium which includes social media, personal blogs and the comment sections of news websites to share their diverse views on the honour that was accorded President Kufour who was Ghana’s president from January 2001-2009.
