Nothwistanding, Dwamena was named in James Kwesi Appiah’s squad ahead of a double header against Congo which was to see Ghana go up against Congo in Kumasi and Brazzaville on the 1st and 5th of September.

Dwamena’s parent club wanted to pass him through a medical test of their own to be sure of his health going into the season.

Zurich therefore asked permission from the camp of the Blacks Stars to keep the player during this International break to undertake these test.

Sources close to the player have revealed Dwamena has indeed passed the Zurich test but will be unavailable for the games.

In this stead Boakye Yiadom has been called but it is very positive that the young striker’s career will be positive and will not end anytime soon.

There have been a number of players like that with Fabrice Muamba who retired after his heart failed to beat for 78 minutes in a Premier League game and Cheick Tiote who actually lost his life due this condition.

This news should rather be refreshing to Ghanaians but Zurich have indicated that another test will be run for that certainty that he is fit to play for the side in the upcoming season.

Dwamena has already played six games for the side in which he has netted five goals and provided four assists in between for FC Zurich.
