Dutch football team ditch mascots for lingerie models

RKC Waalwijk had a touch of beauty during their walkout for their fixture on Friday as part of Valentine weekend celebrations

If you’re tired of seeing children as mascots during a football game, then Dutch side RKC Waalwijk is the team to support.

The Dutch second division side in their celebration of the Valentine weekend ditched their usual mascots for models during their walkout for their game against FC Emmen.

The idea of beautiful women walking unto the pitch with RKC Waalwijk players and taking pictures before and after the game was pitched by one of the club’s sponsors.

Not only were fans treated to this spectacular pre-match show, [tournament officials across the globe, are you taking notes] the second division club also offered free tickets to all ladies for the fixture on Friday night.

The model inspiration for the players turned out to be massive but not for football reasons as RCK Waalwijk were defeated by one goal to nil against FC Emmen.

That was their 14th defeat of the season and are currently rock bottom of the Dutch second division league table.
