The Black Starlets coach led the team to a quarter-final exit in the ongoing U-17 World Cup in India, but has been unimpressed with certain happenings at the board room level.

Initial reports in the local media suggested that the former Hearts of Lions coach was set to be axed following the Black Starlets’ failure to win the World Cup.

However, Fabin has cooled down such talks, but was quick to add that he could leave his post if he receives a suitable offer.

According to him, he is being faced by challenges that do not motivate him to continue as Black Starlets coach, particularly pointing to his unpaid salaries.

“I think I have done a lot for my country Ghana and I believe that enough is enough so when the need arises for me to leave for club side, I am ever ready to do so,” Fabin said in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

"In fact, there are a lot of issues with regards to my position as a coach of the Black Starlets which are not encouraging and motivating most importantly, is my salary issue which I think something new must happen in my coaching career.”

Fabin has previously managed both Hearts of Oak and Kotoko and has once again been linked with the vacant job at Ashanti Gold SC.
