Wa All Stars coach blames semifinal loss to Hearts on officiating

Accra Hearts of Oak beat WA All Stars 2-1 to get into the finals of the MTN FA Cup slated for October 29.

After the game transpired, the coach of Wa All Stars Ahlaji Mustapha Sokpari has blamed on the officials on the day for contributing to his side’s loss.

The coach Alhaji Sokpari did give his remarks on the game and assessed the game on the back of the fact that referees do officiate games to favor Hearts of Oak or Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

“I think somewhere along the line officiating frustrated the game. I think it’s about time our referees move away from our two glamourous clubs Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.”

He further went on to give the detail on the issues he found on officiating.

“In situations like this if you watch the yellow cards issued to my players I do not disagree with the but I also believe some of the cards should have gone to Hearts of Oak.”

Other than that I that I still respect Hearts of Oak as a great club.”

WA All Stars were champions of the Ghana Premier League last season but with 4 games to go the club finds itself battling relegation.

Wa All Stars are to play Hearts of Oak once again in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday, the 4th of October at the Malik Jabir Park in WA.

Coach Alhaji Sokpari stated that he will be looking forward to a good performance on the back of this very one
