Mahatma Otoo signs for Turkish club Balikesirspor

The Former Hearts of Oak marksman completes deal with 2nd tier Turkish club

The former skipper of Accra Hearts of Oak and the national under-17 team Black Starlets has signed for second tier Turkish club Balikesirspor.

Otoo completed the deal on a free transfer after he ending a short term deal with a club in the same league, Umraniyespor FC.

Mahatma Otoo scored a goal in 16 appearances with his former club which placed 7th on the TFF 1st Lig in 2016/2017 season.

Otoo currently joins the side which finished just below his former club at 8th and looks to thrust himself in the Turkish 2nd tier.

The Ghanaian footballer played for Hearts of Oak from 2009 to 2013 and finished his final season as top scorer with 20 goals.

He then moved to Sogndal in Norway where he played for 4 seasons before joining Turkish side Umraniyespor FC in January 2017.

The current move look to be his first full season in the TFF 1st Lig.
