Black Stars B’s Thomas Abbey believes that his team will improve

The MVP of Ghana’s game versus Guinea Thomas Abbey expressed his satisfaction after putting up a masterful performance which ensured that his side win 2-0 in their first group game.

The Accra Hearts of Oak skipper was made to play his unusual left back position for Black Stars B on Thursday.  That did not deter him for giving glimpses of what he has been offering for Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2016/2017 season of the Ghana Premier League.

The Black Stars have obviously won two games out of two.

Speaking to the media Abbey first stated that motivation to eventually win the tournament his team’s secret to success in the tournament so far.

“The secret is that we have qualified for the group stages and since we are hosting the tournament we will improve match after match.”

He did go on to express his satisfaction on his team’s performance on the day.

“I am satisfied because there was team work and the technical team deployed great tactics.”

Ghana’s next game is against Mali and Abbey was sure that his side will go into that game with a different game plan.

It is only time that will tell if Ghana would emerge Champions in the West African sub-region.

Ghana will go on to face Mali on Saturday 16th of September at the Cape Coast Stadium before finally face their Nigerian Counterparts on Monday the 18th of September at the same venue.
