The Ghana Black Stars B head Coach Maxwell Konadu has indicated has given a brief account of what the WAFU triumph means for his career.

Maxwell Konadu was named with Dauda Lutterodt to assist Coach James Kwesi Appiah to head take charge of the Black Stars Team B

Konadu was given the job to man the locally based national team on full time basis prior to the WAFU 2017 tournament. Kwesi Appiah had engagements with the Black Stars with World Cup Qualifiers and thereby Maxwell was given the job.

Maxwell Konadu in speaking to the media did say the victory was not up to only him “It is not all about me, we have a lot of people who made sure everything worked well with the team”.

Maxwell Konadu also went ahead to state what winning the WAFU meant for his career. “For my career it is another cup won and that is it. We have a long way to go in this profession and we are still learning and can only do better.”

“I cannot say winning the WAFU Cup means I have arrived. A lot of people aside me put energy into winning this so it’s not only about me. It’s the team”
