H&M monkey hoodie sparks outrage for "racist" image

H&M faces Twitter backlash for "racist" hoodie

This did not go well with citizens on the internet describing the ad as disrespectful an racist especially when other white models wearing a similar sweatshirt has on his hoodie “Mangrove Jungle Survival Expert”.

The brand received a lot of backlash on Monday forcing them to remove the ad of the black boy who had posed with his hands in his pockets.

Social media did not go cool with the new ad.

Others called for the sack of those behind the promo photos while some are calling for a boycott of the brand. For The King Centre, “Every company should invest in training that encompasses cultural competency and sensitivity. It is absolutely necessary.”
