A Royal Caribbean passenger was banned from the cruise line for life after she stepped over the railing and stood on the edge of her ship to pose for a photo (RCL)

A Royal Caribbean International passenger was photographed standing on the edge of her ship, The Sun first reported.
A Royal Caribbean representative confirmed the incident to Business Insider and said the passenger was kicked off of the ship once it docked in Falmouth, Jamaica. She has been banned from the cruise line.
Royal Caribbean's guest-conduct policy says, "Sitting, standing, laying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings or other protective barriers, or tampering with ship's equipment, facilities or systems designed for guest safety is not permitted."

A Royal Caribbean International passenger was photographed standing on the edge of her ship, The Sun first reported.

The photo, which was reportedly posted to Facebook by another passenger on the Allure of the Seas, shows the woman standing on the edge of the ship's exterior with her hands above her head. The post was either deleted or not accessible to the public as of Friday morning.

A Royal Caribbean representative confirmed the incident to Business Insider and said the passenger was kicked off of the ship in once it docked in Falmouth, Jamaica. She has been banned from the cruise line.

"Earlier this week on the Allure of the Seas a guest was observed recklessly and dangerously posing for a photo by standing on her stateroom balcony railing with the help of her companion," the Royal Caribbean representative said. "Security was notified and the guests were later debarked in Falmouth, Jamaica as a result of their actions and are now banned for life from sailing with Royal Caribbean."

Royal Caribbean's guest-conduct policy says, "Sitting, standing, laying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings or other protective barriers, or tampering with ship's equipment, facilities or systems designed for guest safety is not permitted."

Passengers who don't follow the cruise line's rules may be kicked off of their ship at the next port, according to Royal Caribbean.

The man who posted the photo did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.
