‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown has been pronounced the new goodwill ambassador to UNICEF.
This follows an announcement made on November 20, a day set aside to celebrate the World Children’s Day.
Millie, 14, has emerged as the youngest UNICEF ambassador.
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has over the years, chosen individuals including David Beckham, Orlando Bloom, Jackie Chan, Liam Neeson, and Shakira among others as its goodwill ambassadors.
A post from the young ambassador depicts how excited she is for the appointment and hopes that she will be able to help children across the globe.
Millie said, “It’s a huge honor to join such an impressive list of people who have supported UNICEF over the years,” adding that, “I am looking forward to meeting as many children and young people as I can, hearing their stories, and speaking out on their behalf.”
