Ghanaian government not doing enough to fight corruption

The government of Ghana has been noted for not putting enough effort to fight corruption cases in the country.

This follows a revelation the country’s former president, John Dramani Mahama made as he toured the country’s Western Region. 

According to the former president, a close observation he has made reveals that the current president of the country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not matching his promise with delivery on the issue of corruption. Mr John Mahama is currently aspiring to become president the second time.

During Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign before the 2016 election, he said his government will make the fight against corruption a major concern.

Meanwhile, many people have expressed dissatisfaction over the President’s way of handling allegations of corruption against his ministers and other appointees.

This has therefore triggered the former president to join the masses to express his dissatisfaction against the menace.

According to the Former President Mahama, President Nana Addo had consistently cleared his appointees of corruption allegations, pointing out that it was at variance with his promises in opposition.

He has therefore called on all members of the NDC to unite and work hard for the victory in 2020 in order to address the challenges.
