How the international media is covering the Zimbabwean elections

The elections have attracted global attention with international observers and media converging in the country to cover the polls.

Zimbabwe has conducted its first post-Robert Mugabe elections with the nation's 5 million voters considering 23 candidates.

The main contenders in the presidential vote are incumbent Emmerson Mnangagwa of the ruling Zanu-PF party and opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa.

Much focus has been on the foreign media though, who always perceive the exercise to be a recipe for election violence.
