The Army confirmed that an "incident" had taken place in the early hours of Thursday morning and promised more updates soon.

The blast took place at Letterkenny Army Depot around 7 a.m. Thursday.
A Facebook page for the depot confirmed that an explosion had taken place, and said there "were injuries," though not how many.
It said the explosion had been "contained" and was not a threat to others.
