National Super Alliance (NASA) coalitions has rejected the presidential vote results and urged all Kenyans to reject it.
According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission's (IEBC) provisional results, President Uhuru Kenyatta who is seeking re-election is leading with 7,738771 (54.41%) votes compared to Raila Odinga ,running on an ODM ticket who has 6,360436 (44.72%).
However, National Super Alliance (NASA) coalitions has rejected the vote and urged all Kenyans to reject it.
Speaking to the media, in what he termed as ‘an attack on our democracy’, NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga claimed hackers gained entry to the IEBC data base and introduced several programs to manipulate data.
“At 12.37pm yesterday hackers got entry into IEBC databse and created errors to rig elections” Raila said.
In their 52 page document, Mr Odinga claimed hackers used the identity of murdered election official Chris Msando to "create errors" in the country's electoral database.
He described the results being released online as a "fraud" because they were not accompanied by original result forms 34A and 34B from the polling stations as required by law.
"They are fictitious, they are fake," said Mr Odinga.
Msando was abducted, tortured and murdered a few days before the election raising worry from Kenyans and international bodies that the Kenyan election may have been compromised.
He was the one in charge of the computerised voting system and when his body was found his hand had slashes and evidence of torture.
However, IEBC released a statement assuring Kenyans and election monitors that the electoral process was hack proof and Msando’s murder would not interfere with the outcome.
