Ghanaian player Sulley Muntari has been a world topic in football starting on the weekend of 26th April 2017 after walking off the pitch during a game between his current club Pescara and Cagliari.

Muntari who was booked by the match day official for walking off the pitch for being racially abused has received backing from the UN, Ghana’s former president John Dramani Mahama, Italy football legend Alexander Del Piero and a host of players, fans and pundits alike.

The uproar went up a notch when the Italian Football Federation announced their decision to ban Muntari for walking off the pitch in the aftermath of the game.

So it’s been a tough week for Sulley Muntari who has had to deal with racial abuse, get punished and banned for trying to react to being racially abused and deal with all the press surrounding the incident.
