Ghana’s oil city now has a shopping mall
The newly-constructed entertainment and shopping centre is expected to increase commercial and economic activities in the region.
On Thursday (December 13, 2018), the wife of Ghana’s Vice President, Mrs Samira Bawumia officially opened the Takoradi Mall.
The entertainment and shopping centre is expected to increase commercial and economic activities in the region.
It is also expected to provide jobs for residents of the area.
According to Mrs Bawumia, the government led by Nana Akufo-Addo is working tirelessly to create a conducive environment for the private sector to thrive.
She admitted that without the private sector the government will not be able to solve the economic challenges which include the high unemployment rate the country faces.
She, therefore, encouraged the private sector players to take advantage of the government’s policies and programmes to create more jobs and opportunities for Ghanaians.
