  • A rare peek inside one of Musk's homes, which appears to be stylish yet sparsely decorated. It's not clear which house the photo was taken in Musk recently said he would "own no house" and has since reportedly sold his Bel-Air house for $29 million .
  • A life-sized replica of a robot, which can be viewed in the glass case behind West. It looks similar to the one from the 1920s film "Metropolis."
  • Musk's girlfriend, the musician Grimes, appears to have taken the photo you can see her in the reflection on the glass between the two men.
  • Musk donned shoes from West's Adidas Yeezy line for the occasion. He's wearing the Yeezy 500 Slate High, which initially retailed for $200 when the shoe was released in December 2019, according to sneaker marketplace StockX . (West appears to be wearing the Yeezy Quantum "Barium" shoe.)
  • Neither Musk nor West are wearing masks, nor are they social distancing.

Musk and West have been friends since at least 2015, when the tech mogul wrote about West for Time 100.

"Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacityhe performed his first single with his jaw wired shutgot him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose," Musk wrote at the time .

For his part, West is an avid Tesla fan, tweeting in 2018 that he loves his vehicle and that he feels like he's "in the future."
