UK- based Ghanaian Jazz artiste, Stephanie Benson has said her care-free spiritedness, as well as her risqué fashion sense, is a sentiment shared by her sister Akosua Adjepong.

Stephanie Benson has made headlines with her out-going style which pushes fashion boundaries in Ghana with low v-cuts and the like which exposes the private areas of the renowned singer.

Never one to shy away from a sensual look the singer dawned a see-through gown to the 2017 Ghana Music Honors in Accra, which revealed a lot of skin as she presented Mzvee with the "Best Female Artiste" accolade.

Many have openly critiqued Stephanie Benson’s style deeming it too provocative for a 47-year-old.

The singer in her defence said she is unfazed by all the criticism and said Akosua Adjepong was similar to her out of the box style.

“Akos and I are the closest. Akos and I are the craziest in our family. Akos and I are very similar. I may be crazy in dress sense and maybe in attitude and what not; Akos is very much like that too,” she said.

The Ghanaian Jazz singer further acknowledged that despite their similarities what accounts for her sister’s conservative attitude is due to her assimilating into the Ghanaian way.

“She’s refined to Ghana in terms of what you guys want to hear from her; I am not that person. I am a person who is as free as they can be. I don’t say anything that someone must hear; I don’t cater for anybody’s needs and I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings either. But I need to be me, and nobody’s gonna stop that. Just because Akos is married to a Pastor doesn’t mean she’s dead. When we were together, we were crazy as hell,” she said.
