The headmaster of Breman Eduman D/A Basic School in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region, Robert Sepey, has been fired after a sex video with a former student was leaked.
According to Accra-based 3FM, the decision was taken by the Ghana Education Service (GES) after some officials held separate meetings with the female student, the headteacher and some residents of Eduman.
The GES delegation was led by the District Director of Education, Isaac Godwin Kwasi Acquah-Arhin.
The headteacher has further been asked to meet a two-man disciplinary committee “for the appropriate disciplinary actions.”
The lady in question is a final year student at Odoben Senior High School.
She and her headteacher had agreed to record their sexual encounter so they could watch it later.
However, the lady’s brother found it on her memory chip after he took her phone to transfer some songs.
“Other friends of her brother also saw the video and they decided to spread it because they had proposed love to her and she refused,” an update from the Service on Tuesday indicated.
Meanwhile, the members of the community are angry at the one who shared the video. Reports suggest that the community has indicated that it has no problems with teachers of Eduman D/A Basic School nor the headmaster.
In a related development, the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has said that parents of the student involved in a viral sexual intercourse video with a head teacher are well aware of the sexual relationship between the two.
