The headmaster of the school, Rev. Franklin Buadu said the invasion of bedbugs in the school is affecting the academic work of the students. This is because they do not enjoy good sleep in the night which will help them focus better in class for lessons.

Speaking in Cape Coast on the occasion of the school’s annual homecoming celebrations, Rev. Buadu said the situation is getting them frustrated.

He said attempts by the authorities to foil the menace have yielded no results. He explained that he suspects that the students, might have brought the disease from their various homes as the school was able to stop the bedbug invasion in the previous academic year.

“The school was able to control the bedbugs infestation in May 2016…however on the return of students to school in September 2016 the bedbugs resurfaced suggesting that some of the students bring the bedbugs from their homes.”

He therefore pleaded with all stakeholders to help them make the school free from bedbugs in order to get the students studying as demanded of them.
