Aside from sitting on the bare floor, some of the children also study under trees and are left to the erratic action of the weather.

Primary three and four, as well as primary five and six, are housed in the school’s only two mud structures which the community built in 2008.

Some of the distressed children who spoke to Accra-based Citi FM appealed to government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid.

"We don’t have classrooms, we are combined into only two classrooms. We don’t have textbooks especially English and no drinking water and all these are affecting our studies, we are appealing to the government to come and help us," the pupils complained.
