2017 BECE Seven Great Princess Academy comes out top in 2017 BECE rankings

The Seven Great Princess Academy was the highest performing school during the 2017 BECE examinations.

The Seven Great Princess Academy has been rated the best performing school in Ghana at the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The school came out tops after scoring a grand aggregate total of 351 points on the Accra Metropolitan Education Directorate 2017 BECE Results and Analysis.

The Seven Great Princess Academy has two branches in the Ablekuma Central (Latebiorkorshie) and North (Dansoman) Constituencies.

Headmaster of the Lartebiorkorshie branch of the school, Samuel Abbey, said the success of students was as a result of the dedication, commitment and hard work of the teaching staff.

He noted that he expects better results from the 2018 batch of BECE candidates of the school.

“I expect a better results from candidates next year and ensure that all of them get their first choice schools as usual,” he said.

Coming in second-place on the rankings was Lydians International School who managed a grand aggregate total of 114 points, with Gracedew International School occupying third spot with 47 points.

Fifty-seven students were registered as candidates by Seven Great for the 2017 BECE Examination, with the lowest grade earned by students being grade two.

In the English Language paper, all 57 students had grade one, 55 also scored grade one in Integrated Science and all 57pupils again managed grade one in Mathematics.

Fifty-six out of 57 pupils scored grade one in French, whiles 57 out of 57 pupils managed grade one in Ghanaian Language (Ga).

Meanwhile, all 32 students who sat for the Home-Economics paper also scored grade one.
