Zylofon CEO sets up GHC1m Chief Imam Educational Fund

The Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold and Zylofon Group of Companies, Nana Appiah Mensah, said that the aim of NAM Mission is to effect positive change and enhance development in national economic growth.

This forms part of his Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) under the NAM Mission.

Nana Appiah Mensah revealed this when Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, together with Sheikh Abdul Kaadiru Taahiru, Chief of Dagomba and President for the National Muslim Chiefs – paid him a courtesy call.

They came to thank Mr Mensah for his philanthropic gesture towards destitute Muslims during the Ramadan.

Mr Mensah said that Ghana has been peaceful for a long time and major stakeholders such as the Chief Imam and other Muslim clergies must be acknowledged for their contribution towards this peaceful co-existence in the country.

He added that since one of the core objectives of NAM Mission is to effect positive change and enhance development in national economic growth, they are privileged to set up ‘The Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu Educational Fund’ with a start-up of Ghc1million.

He explained that the Fund is to promote Islamic education across the country and to support the education of bright but needy Muslims in the country.

On his part, the Chief Imam expressed his gratitude for the good works Nana Appiah Mensah has been doing.

He said that all he can do is to pray for Mr Mensah for him to attain higher heights in all his endeavours.

NAM Mission is a charity organisation in Ghana that is geared towards the provision of aid to the underprivileged and needy in society as well the development of deprived communities across the country. It also aims at setting up business models across the country in order to create jobs – as part of its resolve to improve the economic growth of the country.
