Egypt could dent Ghana’s World Cup hopes on Thursday

The Pharaohs of Egypt need a win against Uganda in Kampala to make Ghana’s chances bleak

The Cranes of Uganda will host the Pharaohs of Egypt on Thursday in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, before Ghana face the Red Devils of Congo on Friday.

Egypt who have won their two qualifiers- beat Congo and Ghana and are now the overwhelming favourites to make it to their first FIFA World Cup since 1990.

With six points an away win on Thursday, before the reverse fixture in Cairo would make Egypt have the 2018 FIFA World Cup to lose.

Ghana who have picked just a point from two games, with four matches remaining will be counting on Uganda to at least get a draw in Kampala to make the group still open.

The Cranes of Uganda have four points and are also in a good state to book a qualification to the Mundial, but the unfortunate thing is that they have lost their tactical Serbian coach Micho, which has dampened morale in camp ahead of this all-important tie
