‘Fake abortion’ clinic discovered, hundreds of women in Eastern Region in danger

The clinic is run by a quack doctor whose name was only given as David and is said to have been in operation for several years.

Hundreds of women in the Eastern Region are in serious danger following the discovery of a fake abortion clinic.

According to Starr News, whose investigation led to the discovery, the clinic is based in the town of Suhum and serves hundreds of women in and around the town.

The clinic is run by what they describe as a quack doctor whose name was only given as David and is said to have been in operation for several years.

The journalist went undercover as the brother of a client, ‘the clinic’ is a mud house of two rooms with ‘Dr David’ gaining assistance from three other men.

Women spend at least four hours at the facility after going through ‘Dr David’s’ crude methods.

At least three women visit each other and their ages range between 14 and 30.

Abortions are still very much frowned upon by the general public in Ghana.
