Roverman Productions to shock Ghanaians with ‘Puppeteers’

The play according to the Head of Roverman Productions, Uncle Ebo Whyte will render patrons shocked.

Puppeteers shows on 28th and 29th November; 5th and 6th December at the National Theatre at 4pm and 8pm respectively.

After consistently wowing patrons with original plays since 2008, Roverman Productions in partnership with Airtel and Rover Report Monthly Magazine is set for another play for the fourth quarter titled “Puppeteers.

The play according to the Head of Roverman Productions, Uncle Ebo Whyte will render patrons shocked.

“It is the kind of play that within the first five minutes, if we don’t shock you with what you are watching, then you may have to go to the doctor to take a sample of your blood to check whether it is communion wine in your vein or it is proper bold. And it doesn’t get better from the first five minutes. It gets deeper and much more complicated,” he told the media during an interaction at Osu in Accra.

According to the prolific writer, Puppeteers explores among other things, the phenomenon of “crooks in Ghana who ride on the integrity and good name of good people and use it to cause quite a lot of troubles.”

He explained that, “quite often, the good people are not aware of what is happening but people are using their positions to do things that they the big men would never approve of and they will never be guilty of and yet, it goes in their name. And we are seeking to open the eyes of good people to some of these tricks… in the hope that every Ghanaian who gets elevated would ensure that his position does not become a highway for crooks to ride on to do what they want to do.”

Puppeteers shows on 28th and 29th November; 5th and 6th December at the National Theatre at 4pm and 8pm respectively.
