Pep Guardiola to be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season

Pep Guardiola will be leaving FC Bayern Munich at the end of the season, the club confirms

German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich have confirmed head coach Pep Guardiola will be leaving the club at the end of the 2015/2016 season.

The Spanish coach will be replaced by former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti who will sign a contract until 2019.

Pep Guardiola who joined the German outfit in summer 2013 has won two league titles and the German Cup with Bayern Munich.

Bayern Chief Executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told German newspaper Bild of Gardiola’s departure:

“We are thankful to Guardiola for all he gave our club and hope to celebrate more success in the current season.

“With Ancelotti we have another very successful coach coming to Bayern. We are looking forward to working together.”
