Polytechnic graduates hit the streets

The move is to pressurise government to reconstitute all governing councils of the technical universities and polytechnics in the country.

An earlier communiqué signed by the spokesperson of Polytechnics Students Association Kumah Alfred Brown, said: “It has been more than a year we completed school without certificates to seek for jobs or even further our education due to government's refusal or inability to constitute the governing councils of our various institutions.”

The graduates belonging to the 2015/16 and 2016/17 batches of the various Polytechnics and Technical Universities across the country are expected to march across the principal streets of Accra to pile pressure on the government to reconstitute all governing councils of the technical universities and polytechnics in the country.

“The route is Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, Farisco, TUC- Accra Technical University, Old Parliament, Atta Mills High Street, old Hearts of Oak park and the attire is Red and black ( school attires is also good),” the statement indicated.
